Xylo, derived from the Greek word for wood ‘xulon’, was founded by South African, Liam Mooney, who travelled to the United Kingdom to learn the craft of Fine Furniture making. After spending some time working in the industry, Liam decided to pursue his dream of designing and producing his own pieces, which combine contemporary design with professional craftsmanship.
For Liam, wood is what connects him to his purpose – to create beautiful, functional furniture that will tell its story across generations and his love of wood is reflected in each of the pieces he designs and creates.
